Install on WordPress
Add Loomduct to a WordPress site.
Add the Loomduct script to every page of a WordPress site. WordPress has no built-in field for code in the page head, so these steps use the free WPCode plugin.
Before you start
- The Loomduct snippet with your project token. Copy it from Install with the script tag and replace
lmt_your_project_tokenwith your token. - Admin access to your WordPress site. On WordPress.com, you need a paid plan to install plugins.
Steps
Install WPCode
In wp-admin, go to Plugins โ Add New, search for WPCode โ Insert Headers and Footers, then install and activate it.
Paste the snippet into the header
Go to Code Snippets โ Header & Footer. Paste the whole Loomduct snippet, with its <script> tags, into the Header box and select Save Changes.
WPCode's own guide: Using the Global Header & Footer settings.
The script runs only while WPCode is active.
If you use a cache or speed plugin, clear its cache after saving. If the plugin combines or delays scripts, exclude cdn.loomduct.com from it.
Check that it worked
- Open your live site in a new tab.
- Open your project in the Loomduct dashboard. Your visit shows up as online now on the Overview within a few seconds.
If nothing shows up, see Install with the script tag.
